You Thought I Was Done With the Questions

So if you sign up for a race via the lottery system (that closed a couple of days ago) and they charge the race entrance fees to your account yesterday...does that mean you are in?

I know, you'll tell me to wait for the confirmation e-mail, but when it's your very first full marathon? Anxious doesn't even cover it...

Typically for lottery races, they take your credit card information when you enter your name but don't charge it unless you're chosen (otherwise they'd be giving a lot of people a lot of refunds).

I'd suspect you're in... but you better wait for the e-mail confirmation just to be sure. :-P

JP!!!! I had no idea you were going for the full!!!! Woooohoooooo. I'm so excited for you. I hope you're in.

As for your question, I have no idea. I've never entered a lottery. I would think it means you're in. If you you are not, I'm going to personally go to race headquarters and smack someone for giving you false hope. :)

Good luck, you're awesome!

My husband was in the St. George lottery and his entry wasn't clear either. His name ended on a list but it was neither a confirm or deny list. He had to email and only then did the website make it clear that those listed had "won" the lottery.

So in my opinion, you have "won" the chance to run. Good luck
