I have several friends who got in this year so I will try and be there to support them. It all depends on the baby. I have heard this is a great one (good down current for the swim).Roxannehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17821755209848969858noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19163408.post-24279739396376423002008-04-29T12:30:00.000-07:002008-04-29T12:30:00.000-07:00I have done 3 sprint triathlons and LOVE them. I love training for them because I don't get bored--I am constantly doing something different. I have noticed too since I started doing them that I have lost a couple of inches in my waist and toned up my arms/legs that I wasn't getting from running alone. The hardest part for me is going from biking to running because they are just so different but after the first little while of your legs feeling like jello you are good to go. So when I train for them I try to include a lot of transition trainings (swimming and then biking or biking and them swimming). Of course I haven't really been doing that for my triathlon on Saturday so we'll see how that goes!Jessicahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16002577710585367790noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19163408.post-31630005864934455372008-04-29T05:54:00.000-07:002008-04-29T05:54:00.000-07:00I did a mini tri--I think the distances were half ...I did a mini tri--I think the distances were half of the sprint. I LOVED it and would love to try another one sometime.
Good luck!Meganhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00237520002783999517noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19163408.post-54533461339559331412008-04-28T18:24:00.000-07:002008-04-28T18:24:00.000-07:00I love the triathlon. I will be doing a sprint tri this saturday and I'm signed up for an olympic in Idaho in July. I'm trying to find a few more this summer to fill my race schedule. I'm even considering a half ironman.

There is a website that is great for tri advice and they have training plans you can use. They will try and sell one to you from a trainer but with a little savvy you can find there free plans. They also have a log that you can keep track of all of your workouts. It really is a great website and you get lots of free advice. I am signed up for the Iron Girl in August in Columbia, MD- bit I can't do it since I will be 38 weeks pregnant. I will do it next year though! If you do it you will have so much fun- it is a great experience and you have a new feeling after that is not sore but accomplished!marathon momhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14492117553414775263noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19163408.post-37001563449531209092008-04-28T08:31:00.000-07:002008-04-28T08:31:00.000-07:00foxontherun is the lady you need to talk to!foxontherun is the lady you need to talk to!Suzie Petuniahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13387520367654400467noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19163408.post-43528913217883341542008-04-28T08:29:00.000-07:002008-04-28T08:29:00.000-07:00Erin,I have done a sprint and LOVED it! It is great because you work more muscles than just running all the time. I am actually considering one with my hubby in August. I want to do an Olympic sized one. I loved it. Hal Higdon has an eight week training plan that is great! There are some great books out there too. I am not a swimmer, but did it fine on my sprint and really made up time well in the bike and run. You never know if it is for you unless you try it!Anniebananiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07914128204612989770noreply@blogger.com
