I am now using the novice full marathon plan! he has other distances too! I think his plans are good because they fit in with a busy schedule and use about 4 running days a week usually!

Good luck!5 Miles Past Emptyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16542419394717296576noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19163408.post-77317537225066824892010-04-13T07:09:01.671-07:002010-04-13T07:09:01.671-07:00I highly recommend The Non-Runner's Marathon T...I highly recommend The Non-Runner's Marathon Trainer by David Whitsett, I used the plan in there combined with Hal Higdon's marathon novice program (especially that last few weeks' long runs, including doing 20 miles as our longest run rather than 18 like non-runner's trainer says) to train for my first marathon and had a great experience. It was just enough running to have me prepared and ready but not overworked or overuse injuries. at least for me, the book is totally worth owning and I will use to train for another marathon. It is a good book for varying levels of runners, I don't consider myself a non-runner, but being a busy mom of 2 it was the PERFECT balanced training plan for me (I did end up running a sub-4:00 time, which I was thrilled about!)Jennyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03768629820818001827noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19163408.post-61453099321036780672010-04-12T16:03:48.900-07:002010-04-12T16:03:48.900-07:00I am so excited about this post.
