I spent my morning at the hospital getting an MRI of my pelvis and legs. You see my training isn't going so well. Right at the start of my marathon training I started getting pain in my upper left leg. At the end of January I went to see a sports med doctor to see what I could do about the problem. I have been going to physical therapy for 4 weeks now and I'm not seeing any results. The fact is the pain is now also in my right leg. I go back to see the doctor this thursday and I'll be taking the results from this MRI today. So far everyone is baffled and it really hurts to run. So with seven weeks until the Boston marathon I'm waiting with crossed fingers that there are no stress fractures. I had two nightmares last night that I had multiple stress fractures. Hate to leave you all on the edge of your seats but you'll have to tune in on Thursday for the results. Wish me luck!

YIKES! I didn't realize stress fractures might be the problem! Dang - I hope that isn't the case. That must have been where you were coming back from when I passed you near Kelly's today.
Worse case scenario: You run Boston next year with a couple more friends. :) ?
Oh my goodness!!! Good luck!! I will be on the edge of my seat waiting to hear the verdict. Hopefully this will all be solved soon!
Good luck. You'll be in my thoughts and prayers this week.
My word, having a MRI is intense.... I hope you get the answers you are hoping for and start feeling better. We're pulling for you!
I'm so sorry you're in pain and not getting it figured out and fixed is so frustrating. Hang in there ... if anyone can overcome this in time for Boston, you can. And if not, ditto to Suzie's comment. There is always next year, although I know that's not what you want to hear.
I really feel for you and I am hoping they will be able to figure this out for you. You are one of the most dedicated runners I know. I am so lucky to be running partners and friends with you. Good luck tomorrow. I will be thinking of you. You have worked so hard, I would love to see you have an amazing race at Boston!
That is so frustrating. Good luck on getting everything figured out!
