St. George Marathon Accommodations

So there has been some talk about some of us running the St. George Marathon on October 4. My husband and I are planning on it, so we just went online and reserved a room at the Hilton Garden Inn on 1731 Convention Center Dr. in St. George. I thought it would be fun if we all stayed at the same place, so I thought I'd let you know. It doesn't cost anything to reserve a room - you just have to give a credit card number. You can always cancel it if you don't get into the race. I know that rooms in and around St. George will fill fast once they announce the lottery winners, so it would be a good idea to do it now.

Do any of you have alternative plans or arrangements for St. George you'd like to share? It doesn't have to be the Hilton. I just know I'd like a comfy bed the night before and the night after the race. :)

Oh sure, rub it in how fun St. George is going to be. :-)

Jeff actually sounds interested. Have Taylor talk to him.

I like the EconoLodge that is close the start line because then you can just walk over in the morning and you don't have to worry about parking. Problem is I am sure it is full already- it is a popular place to stay. I will wait and see if I get in.

We have stayed the last two years with my husbands parents in their fifth wheel at an RV Park in St. George. It is actually a really nice setup because we don't have to worry about check out times and we get a nice long shower afterwards. But the best part is my mother in law makes us a killer lunch. Yummy!

Nice post. I learn something new and challenging on blogs I stumbleupon every day.

It's always useful to read content from other authors and use something from other sites.
