I've Got The Golden Ticket!!

I GOT A SPOT TO RUN IN THE ST. GEORGE MARATHON!! I know many of you are thinking "oh poor girl, she doesnt know the registration has closed" Yes I know it has. I didnt get picked for the lottery. But I did get picked for one of the St. George "On The Run" slots. The St. George Marathon has 30 races through out Utah that can participate. STG Marathon gives each of those races one slot each to the marathon. Long story short I was given the slot for the St. George marathon from running the Bear Lake Half. I am really excited. I was so bummed when I didnt make the lottery and now I get my chance. I am nervous though. Now this means I really am going to finish my training and run a marathon. I have heard that St. George has a lot of up hill. Is that true? Just wanting to figure out how to train the best I can. Just thought I would share the good news. I'm sure there will be many more questions from here on out. Thanks ladies.

Congrats!! I am so happy for you! When I read your half marathon report, I was sad that you didn't feel very well. Now you have more time to figure things out and run a marathon. You can do it! We will help support you. St. George is beautiful! There is a lot of downhill, but definitely prepare for the uphill too. There are 2 significant hills, but other than that it is mostly downhill. I can't wait to hear more from you!

I am running the St George marathon. I am training by myself and have never run in a marathon before. I am excited to have found a site that has other runners on it.
