ok...so it was only a 5K. But it felt like more than that to me! (and I thought I would be doing St. George this year...ha ha ha ) It was a great little race- on a golf course- and I was very impressed that they played the National Anthem before starting. I have done lots of races and don't remember that ever happening. Have you ever done a race where they did that? Let me know. It was inspiring, and I loved getting out and running a race again! It has been a while since I raced. It felt really good! yeah!

I am glad you had so much fun in your race. Running on a golf course sounds GREAT.
Honestly, I can't remember a race where they didn't play the National Anthem. I have really only run in bigger races, though. There aren't a lot of nice small "local" races around here. Everything is a big deal.

thanks for the comment- I have done so many races- I am sure they played the National Anthem at some-but those were so long ago I can't even remember :)
