Ahhh...Taper, Sweet Taper.

Just finished my 22-miler today, in preparation for the St. George marathon in 3 weeks. Is there anything better than hitting "stop" on the Garmin, and knowing that you're DONE with the last really long run before the big race? Now I just need to rest up, carb up, and stay injury free for the next 3 weeks. Oh, how I love tapering! Good luck to everyone on those fall marathons!

Andre'a- I'm not sure if qualifying for Boston is in the cards this year. I've done it before, but I don't know if I'm up for it this time. We'll see- if everything goes well, maybe :)

wooowhoo! i am in my taper as well but am finding I just want it to hurry up and be over with! I am ready to get the first 26.2 behind me .. 2 weeks seems like forever for some reason.

Ruthie- I get feeling antsy, too. That's a good sign- it means you're ready! Good luck on your first marathon, and enjoy it!

Yeah...I just finished my fourth 20 miler! I am so nervous. I have run two marathons before but never "trained". I ended up with a lame husband in the first, and an injury in the second. This will be my first attempt at the BQ! See you in St. George.

Congratulations! I had the same feeling as I took an ice bath after my 20 miler yesterday. I was thinking, "Woo Hoo! Here comes the tapering!" It feels good but also gives me some butterflies in my stomach!

I hear ya! Just finished my last 21 miles yesterday and am so "excited" for the taper. I just keep thinking, "one more 15 then one more 12. . .I can totally do that!" Way to go!

Hello!

Just introduce myself: I am a man (says my wife), I am 50 years old (hmm, that looks bad isn't it?) and I am a terrible bad programmer (I say myself).
My hobbies: computer (of course), my 17 years old son and of course my wife. I like to play billiard, I do a very little bit and very simple programming in VB and I try to make a site for my billiard-club in the near future.
