Asics Gel Kayanos
Do any of you ladies run in the Asics Gel Kayano 15? I had sooooo many painful problems with my feet until I found this shoe. It has fixed everything! Now I am having a hard time finding some to replace my old ones, and I am hesitant to try the Gel Kayano 16. I am marathon training and have nearly 350 miles on my old shoes. I know I need to work another pair in, but I don't want to be doing such long runs in the wrong shoe. Have any of you transitioned into the 16? If so, do you like it? How similar/different is it? Also, when trying to find old models on the internet, what do I need to look for? I have found sites that have both Asics Gel Kayano 15 and Asics Gel Kayano 15 Classic, and the Classic is cheaper. Why is this? Is it a different shoe? I just really want to find another 15, but I want to make sure I order the right one. Any advice????

I have used and loved Gel Kayanos for years, and upgraded nodels when they come out. I have been using 16 since before doing a marathon in December, and it is fine to me! Good luck!
I also wear the Kayano's 15 and I love them. I guess that they are now going "extinct" so they are harder to find...so I'm considering going to the 16 for my next shoe-I haven't decided. I think that they Kayano classics are different than they normal Kayano 15...the classics are a older version. I did just see a while ago that RoadRunnerSports have the newer Kayano 15's (only in the blue color) on sale for a great price :)
I am no help but have been wanting to try the Kayano's. I currently wear the GT2100 series (GT 2150).
I have had two pairs of the 15's and loved them! I skipped buying the 16's because I had heard so many negative things about them. After MUCH debate and research I went to the cumulus 11 (I think that is the number). I love them and am training for a June marathon.
Love those shoes!!!! They Rock!
As an update---I did end up purchasing a pair of Kayano 16s, and they seem just like the 15s. I really can't tell the difference. I have only done a few 3-5 miles runs in them at this point, but they seem great. I am so relieved, because I am halfway through my marathon training, and I have nearly 400 miles on my 15s. I think they will be just fine. :)
