Marathon Mommies: Coming to a city near you!

I can't believe it, but I was able to talk Suzie Petunia into running another marathon with me. It is June 3rd, the same day that Newport was supposed to be, so if you think about it, we are still just right on schedule. :-) It is a crazy little marathon in Seattle called the Green River Marathon. Only about 16 people ran it last year. There is no entry fee (can't argue with free), but there are about 10 aid stations. (Thank you, volunteers!) So, Suzie won't be able to injest 20 Gu's this time, but it should be fun anyway. What an awesome friend Suzie is to be willing to run with me again. I would wait and run a different marathon, but I figure it would be better to run when I still have the endurance for it. I have just been diagnosed with possible exercise-induced asthma and prescribed an inhaler, so this is my chance to try out the theory! I just want to prove to myself that I can actually "run" 26.2 miles. Plus, they always say third time's the charm, right?

Good for you Kelly. And I also have exercise induced asthma. I was diagnosed in the 9th grade, struggled when I worked out at the Y taking those classes. I should email you about it. Good luck.

The next marathon is coming up quick. Hope you both do well! How was the 5K today??

Exercise-induced asthma? I believe UK runner Paula Radcliffe also has this. She won the Chicago Marathon in 2002, the same year I ran it.
