Happy Tears

Short Story: 4:06, 32 minutes shaved off my last marathon, no asthma attack and I am completely, completely satisfied. (and completely sore!) I gave it everything I had and could not have run a second faster.

I am also so proud of Sarah for her AMAZING time with no speedwork and having had a baby 6 months ago. (4 minutes away from qualifying for Boston!)

Here are the Boston qualifiers (and me!) and I hope they will record their experiences also. I would love to hear their take on the race. I am SO happy for and proud of them!

I will write the long story later. Thanks everyone for your well wishes. I felt them during this race.

Special thanks to my awesome husband! He has been so supportive of my journey and never doubted me even when I doubted myself. He took care of Bryce and cheered me on (even with a brace on after ACL surgery. I love you sweetie, and I owe you...

Only bummer: Lonely race for me. Some day I hope to be able to keep up with my friends. :-)

Our group! Congrats to everyone for their hard work and great races. Thanks to all of you bloggers who inspired me!

Long Story: Coming soon...

Lyrics not to listen to when running a marathon: Coming soon...
(Example:
The miles are getting longer, it seems,
The closer I get to you.)

Can someone please help me pull my jaw off the floor?? Seriously. These two ran amazing times! But, then again, I knew they would! :)

This has given my not-so-much-running-of-late butt a swift kick. I am SO going after that 4 hour mark at Eugene. It's mine this time.

Wow! Great running, everyone. I was thinking about you when I woke up, as I took my little girl to dance, and then I was inspired to hit the treadmill, though I'd procrastinated all day..."If they can run a marathon, I can squeeze out 5." Thanks for the motivation and hooray, hooray for you!!

Great job! I have pretty much decided (thanks to everyone here) that I am going to run a marathon now that I have some triathlons under my belt. I think I will just start with the 1/2 marathon first though!

There really are superheroes out there. Outstanding, fantastic, inspiring! Where's the full story? I'm dying to read it.
