I have been so lucky to have a great group of women to run with. I have run with many different women over the years, beginning with training for Hood to Coast with my good friend Carrie 6 years ago! I didn't start to LOVE running until I trained for my first marathon and the partner during that time was my good friend Marnie! Unfortunately we keep having kids at opposite times so we haven't been able to train together very much. She and my other good friend Poky Girl were kind enough to put together a fabulous lunch today for Sarah and I and Smith and FoxontheRun (our 2 Boston Marathoners!)
This group of women meets consistently at 5:30 in the morning. If it weren't for them, I would not get up and run that early! I love early morning therapy sessions and getting to know each of them. They have been so supportive of me and my crazy goals and they are just awesome friends who have been there for me so much, especially in these last few months. I love each of them! Good luck to Heather and Kirsten!! I will be thinking of both of you! Sarah, you are stuck with me again for this marathon and I am grateful to have you by my side. (And the other women we run with, Jenny and Joan, we hope to hook you on marathons soon enough...we love you too!)
As for the rest of you Marathon Mommies, Sarah and I can't wait to meet you! It has been wonderful learning from each of you. You have all inspired us and we look forward to continuing the blog and watching many Mommies meet their goals, whatever they may be. Good luck to all of you!

And the food was YUMMY!
Ditto to everything you said, M&M!
That looks like so much fun! I love all the kids mixed in the shots- it speaks volumes about how much more of a commitment running is when you have kids to factor into the mix.
It was so fun being all together and actually look at each other when we talk. Have you ever thought about how many hours we've spent talking while running? Lots and lots. Thanks to all the wonderful ladies that motivate, inspire and understand me...those I know personally and through this blog. Good luck ya'll!
that is so fun! you ladies are so inspiring...5:30a.m. is incredible. i hope to meet you guys on race day. i don't think i'll make the dinner unfortunately. bountiful is quite far from where i live and i want to really relax and get to bed early the night before...if that is possible with my two little ones! good luck--i know you'll do great!
It was yummy! Thanks Marnie and Molly. I can't believe it has been three + years we've been running together. Without you guys I would never have done any races. You guys are great.
I smiled at the first photo. You and Suzie are the only two in running shoes. :)
