Nervous & Excited

Well, it is almost here. I'm NERVOUS!!! I'm also excited. I still can only run a few miles without walking and recovering, but hey...I'm just going to do it anyway. I mean who cares that you fast Mommy Marathoners will be passing me on the course...(hopefully not, but probably possible)...I mean is there shame in having to walk? I decided that I've got to start somewhere, and just finishing the 1/2 Marathon for me this time is my goal!

I can't wait to see you all at the finish line! Assuming of course that I make it! ;)

See you in 8 days!

Hey Erin,

I am more on the nervous end of the spectrum right now also. I am so glad to hear your goals. You really have inspired me. Keep it up and can't wait to meet you!

I am there with you- nervous! I take walking breaks and it is just how I roll right now. All I care about is the finish line- and I can look back later and be proud that I did finish, no matter the time.

Erin, I am so sad that I won't be doing the half with you any more. I will cheer you on at the finish, because you will finish! I talked two of my sisters into running the half with me and they are still planning to do it without me. They had never ran more than 3 miles before so they will be right there with you. You will do great!

Erin...can we pretend that we've been "training" together all along so we can stick together-ish next weekend? Hannah, too. :)

Also...if walking is shameful...just call me "Shameful JP"...

Erin, My daughter said the best thing to me..."When your run gets tough just smile. Smile at everything and everybody. That will push you right thru the finish line."
Time means nothing, walking means nothing, enjoying it is everything.

See you soon
