I seem to have misplaced my core.

I'm in my third week (of 14) of serious triathlon training and I feel amazing! I am so motivated! I can't wait to get to the gym every day. I'm loving this so much for several reasons - it feels good to work so hard, the variety (as in not 'just' running) is so fun!, I want to do well in August, I want my 'mom tummy' to look a little less 'mom' etc. But let's be honest, one hour without kid worries is the best part. :)

So I started going to a class called 'Core Conditioning'. It turns out that I don't even have a core! :) My legs are strong-ish since I've been running fairly consistently for three months, but the rest of me is rather noodle-y. So now I have more motivation to get to the gym! I'm going to find my core!

Hey, share with us some of the best exercises! Most of us have a "Marathon Mommy" tummy that could use some intense core conditioning.

I'm with you! I'm into week 2 of a great class at the gym that involves improving the core and boy is it a doozy! plus, i hear that a hard core makes you a faster runner...well, not really but that'd be an added bonus!

Will you find mine while your at it? You motivated me to do my Winsor Pilates video(yep, I bought it off of late night TV a few years ago!). I know SuziePetunia has been working hard on her core too.

And actually, Lisa Marie, I think it does make you a better runner. :-)

Thanks for the kick in the rear!
