This weekend my running group participated in Relay for Life. We helped raise money for the American Cancer Society. Overall, we had a fun experience. We all took our families and my little two year old had the best time. I love being an example to my children with involving them and encouraging them to be active. My little girl did at least 8 laps around the track, she did not want to stop! Being a marathon mommy i hope will forever have a positive influence on my kids. A gal in our running group made us all matching t-shirts, i love the road runner! We call ourselves the 'morning mob' because we run at 5 am and we look like a mob running in the dark ;) I especially loved the theme for Relay for life, it was FIGHT BACK, REMEMBER and CELEBRATE. We had a great time and I look forward to doing it again!

Love the shirts! We are a morning mob as well, we have a reputation as the 'girls that meet at the corner'

What a great cause and event. I am hoping to participate in this one. Cancer has been a trial for our family unfortunately. It seems to touch everyone's life in one way or another. Good for you for supporting that cause and showing your kids such a great example.

I love our little morning mob too. Although, I think 5:30 is early, I can't imagine a half hour earlier! Cute pic of you and your daughter. Thanks for sharing!

Your 2-year-old ran 8 laps??! Wow! You are setting a great example for her. And congrats on doing something so worthwhile for the community. I should get involved with our Relay for Life. Your post will make me look into it more seriously. M&M, we need to get a team together!

Love your shirt and love that your two year old ran too! You girls who run while I sleep are amazing. That is serious dedication!
