Cardio Hill-Walking Workout

Hello all. First off, thanks to everyone for their encouragement and advice about how to get back into an exercise routine after having a baby. It is getting a little easier to run with the kiddos. My goal is 2 miles, but on most days the girls are cooperating and I am able to do 3!

Anyway, I found this treadmill workout in some fitness magazine and I really like it. I hate the treadmill for running, but this walking routine is great. It is challenging and the variety makes the time go by quickly. The best part is that it is only 20 minutes, so it is easy to get a quick workout in.

Here it is:

Minutes/Incline%
0:00-5:0o/3
5:00-7:00/8
7:00-8:00/4
8:00-10:00/10
10:00-11:00/5
11:00-13:00/12
13:00-14:00/10
14:00-15:00/12
15:00-20:00/3

I just jotted it down on a notecard and put it on my book tray on the treadmill. Enjoy!

Thanks for sharing that workout. Sometimes I need to get on the treadmill, usually at night, and, like you, I don't like it for running but don't mind it for walking. This workout sounds great!

Wow! I think I could handle that! It is nice to change up the workouts every now and then. I often ignore walking in my training but it is a great workout! Especially when you do hills!
Thanks for sharing!
