Hello. My name is Sarai and I am a runner-holic.

Hello to all of my fellow running mommies! I am a newbie as well, and I'm so excited to have found this blog! So here goes my introduction.
Since this blog is about moms that run, I am a mom to 2 beautiful girls- a 3 yr old and a 1 yr old. I have been running for about 3 1/2 yrs, but it wasn't until recently that I discovered the world of "Running Races" and that's when it all started to make more sense! People run not just to torture themselves and loose weight, but in preparation to enter a race! Since then it has all been so much funner and enjoyable. I want to push my self and find out what I am capable of. I didn't know I could run a 5K in 27 mins and a 10K in 50 mins! It's such a feeling of accomplishment one gets to discover what you didn't know your mind and body could do, and then you just want more and more, a good addiction maybe? Not only that but I have found it to be my happy place, my pull it together, breathe, la-la-place. You get the idea. It makes so much sense for me to have this be a part of my life and daily routine. I need it to be a better mom, a better wife, a better me. If I said this to anyone else they wouldn't understand, but I know you all do!
So far my journey as a runner as been lonely, even though I run with my 2 babies and my dog. So I'm hoping that I get to meet some of you gals that live in the Salt Lake City area. Looking forward to be inspired by all of you super running mommies!

I am new to Marathon Mommies as well, I just wish I had discovered this site before I moved out of Utah and to Kentucky, I know... lucky me huh? ;)

I run alone as well and it is a bitter sweet thing for me. I love being alone at times so I can think and also to not worry if I am slowing anyone down. I hate doing long runs alone, When you have to start early in the morning and it is still dark, that is never fun alone.

RUN FAR!
