Run for the Rhodesbud

I was walking by my computer and I had a thought - and here it is- ready? ok :

I know that there are quite a few of us in here the Portland area that read/contribute to this blog and have obviously read the post regarding Project Rhodesbud.  Would anyone be interested in organizing or helping to organize a 5K or 10K with all proceeds to Project Rhodesbud?  What if we made it either a family run (as in you have to run with a child or spouse), or a run with stroller pushing mandatory or something that symbolized what we were raising money for.  We could probably raise a few funds for the cause and then we could also meet each other in person.

Maybe we could do it Nov. or Dec. and tie it into the holiday giving spirit.

What do you all think?

I have vinyl start and finish banners that I bought for a thing at church. We could use those - and getting numbers is easy and relatively cheap. We would need to find a venue (maybe a park) and maybe talk about a t-shirt (if we could find them cheap). I was thinking "It takes a village to conceive a child" - with Project Rhodesbud on the back

I will come run if it's at all feasible -- with my family. :)
