Getting back

I just had to write a post to 1) publicly thank all those who commented on my last post and 2) write down my next next race goal so that I am accountable.
I was the mom who was having issues with running and nursing (not at the same time, I might add). I was losing my milk and freaking out. So I took 6 weeks off from running and followed the suggestions to take fenugreek and blessed thistle. I also started drinking that Mother's Milk herbal tea full of fenugreek, blessed thistle, and other strong herbs. I was amazed at how well it worked! Thank you 100 times again and again! If there are any other marathon mommies out there who are nursing a 'wee one' I am here to say that those herbs are wonders for rebuilding your milk supply.
Two weeks ago I started running again. I have been able to run 3x a week for the past 2 weeks and my little baby's tummy has been full, as well as his diapers, which is all I ask for right now.
To help me get back on track with running, my goal is to be able to run the Hands-on House Half Marathon in Lancaster, PA in October. It is on a Saturday, if any of you fellow East Coast gals are interested...
Abric, the full and happy baby boy.

Thanks for the tip on the herbs - my friend & I both had babies about a week apart, and her milk supply has diminished a ton since starting training... I'll pass along the "remedy". Thanks!

This is great to know! As a first time Mom... I have no idea on these things! I pulled a tendon the month I got pregnant so it's been a non running pregnancy. -La.

Jamie, I am so glad that things are going well for you. Even though you have a house full of boys to keep you busy, you're awesome to get out there and make your own goals happen too! You'll do great at the 1/2 marathon. Go girl! (And Abric is so cute!!)
