Have a Supportive Sport's Bra?

I want to buy a new sports bra for running, but I thought I'd come here for advice first. I obviously have been buying the wrong bras because after all of my long runs my bra rubs my skin raw on my shoulders and sometimes it takes awhile to heal because I run often. I'm not flat and need better support, obviously. Anyone with the same problem? Any suggestions?

I went to my running store last year when I was training for a marathon and told them I needed a better bra. They pulled out a couple and the female employee watched me jump and run in place in them until we found one that felt good and had the least amount of bounce. It was the most interesting bra fitting I've ever had.

But I love the bra. It's my absolute favorite, even from all my normal bras. I'm even good to go with monthly swelling and tenderness.

I ended up with this Champion Bra. I never would've picked it out if I hadn't gone in to the store and been fitted. I can't imagine running in anything else now.

I also recommend a Champion bra. I LOVE mine! I have never had any problems with it -- it has kept me very comfortable during all of my runs as a lactating mother. I have washed it dozens and dozens of times, and it is still in excellent shape. I have no desire to ever even try a different brand.

I 3rd the Champion brand. I'm not normally busty but when I'm nursing it definitely hold me tight.

There are two types of running bras. One is a compression and the other is one that has cups in it. If you need more support then you should go with the cups. Not the one the compression one...the one that gives you the uniboob effect. I am an A to B cup depending on the bra and the compression is right for me. I know the Fleet Feet around here does bra sizing. Maybe a local running store offers the same thing? Hope this helps.

I am quite busty and running was always a problem. When I trained for the marathon last year (I was still breastfeeding too) I got an Enell Sports Bra(you can get them online or at some running stores). Oprah suggests this bra a ton. Its so supportive. I didnt notice bounce at all. It buckles all the way up the front which is interesting but if you need a lot of support this one is amazing!

Thanks for all your suggestions!

I second the Enell choice. I am DD+ when I am pregnant/nursing and this bra is amazing!

I love the Champion action sports top. No underwire and no una-boob. I have two and like them a lot. I'm a D.

The Enell bra looks awesome for big bosoms...But $65? Ouch. A little steep...

I had the same problem then I found the Anita line while searching on the net. I can't tell you how well they fit and the support (if you are a runner then you know...) is incredible. I am pasting the link. Good luck!!
