Hawaii long run route--anyone?

Hey running friends,
Has anyone ever had to do a long run while on Oahu? My sister and I need to do an 18 miler while there. We are staying at the Marriott Ko'Olina, but would drive if we had a great route.

I stayed there last summer, they have a GREAT gym! If you can do 1/2 there and maybe go out on the walking path and do the other half, i think running from the end of the Villas to the JW was 3 miles and you could just run that a couple of times. Its BEAUTIFUL on the ocean there, HAVE A GREAT TIME!

Yeah, we were there 2 years ago and I ran those paths ad nauseum! I'm looking for something less repetitive. Especially since I'll have to run all my other runs on the paths too. I looked up some routes online, but it's so hard to know if they are *too* adventurous for me (trail runs through the bush, for example, or busy roads). But, if all else fails, I can always run up and down the paths, like you said. Thanks!

I used to live on the North Shore of Oahu. I would just run on Kam. Hawaii. A good stretch is from Laie past Kahuku. It really goes on forever, and you have to be careful of traffic at some parts, but you can't beat the beach scenery on the North Shore.
