Just some Stuff. . .

1. I am planning on running the Portland Marathon this fall. Is anyone else planning on doing it? If so it would be nice to connect.

2. I just finished my longest training run. 14.8 miles yesterday. My longest in ages. I attemped to train last summer for PDX but struggled with my left IT band. So far so good this summer.

Anyway, I wanted to say a big thanks to several of you ladies for helping me get this far. The ice bath after long runs is a must! I can't believe that I have been running for over 15 years and this is the first time I have actually done that. Also, Imodium AD before a run. . .yeah it works too. Who ever posted that precious piece of information is a SAINT. I was able to raft the White Salmon river afterward with no bathroom issues. That is also a first for me! Seriously, Thank you ladies!

Whoa! That's random. I am actually wearing a Portland Marathon shirt from last year right now! No really, I am! My friend did it last year and she said it was awesome!

Congrats on your training run! That's great! Do you normally have trouble with your IT band? If so, you should check out one of those hard foam rollers to lay on the ground and roll over. I used to have trouble with mine and my trainer had me start using the foam roller. Problems gone! If you need help finding one, let me know!
