Calling all St. Georgies

Okay so who is running St. George next weekend? If you are running leave a comment and let us know what marathon this is for you and what your anticipated finishing time is and anything else you want to share.
So I will start it off. This is marathon #4 for me, that being said I had a baby 10 weeks ago and don't plan on running the whole thing. I want to and know that I could do it but am worried about my milk supply and because of that my longest run has only been 14 miles. So my plan is to run to mile 16 which is a big spectator area (atleast this is what I have been told). I have told my husband that he is probably going to have to pull me off the course because I do love racing. It will be hard for me to stop and not finish. All the fun is at the finish line, right?
I would love to run with some of you. Is anyone trying to qualify for Boston? I would love to run with other marathon mommies on April 19th! I find that it always makes the miles go by faster if you have someone to chat with or just pace with. I would love to get to know some of you better.
Does anyone know if they have pacers at this marathon? My first 2 marathons did not have them and then I ran the Portland marathon last year and loved running with a group that were all running the same pace, it was great.
Hope to atleast see some of you on the course, or maybe we could try and meet up before!

Happy running!!!!

I have run St George 3 times... Yes, they have pacers. I am now living in Ky, so I wont be running it this year. Qualified for Boston twice on that course. Ran Boston in '08... loved every min of it.

You are crazy for attempting 16 10 weeks post baby... bless you and I hope you have a good time.

Hey everyone, I'll be there with bells on my toes or is that blisters. I am going to try and maintain somewhere between 3:35 and 3:40! That is the goal. Third marathon but first that I am actually racing. Do you count the one that you walk side by side with your injured hubby or the post injury 6 weeks training wing it marathon???hmmm. Excited and nervous all at the same time. My cell will be on the days before 658-4821
I hope to see you in Boston!!!!

I'm running it too "with" several friends and my sister. It's my second marathon but I've had a baby in between (she's 13 months). I would love to beat my time (4:11) but am not too hopeful as I am 15 pounds heavier this time. We shall see. The training has been great but I am ready to be DONE with training for a bit!

Wow...I can't believe that your running this with a newborn! Awesome! I'm also running St. George. It's my second marathon. I've been training to run it at a 4:00 hour pace but I have just found out that I have messed up my lovely piriformus muscle...I'm so disappointed that I have trained so hard and stayed uninjured this whole year until now...bad timing! So I'm not sure what is going to happen at St. George-but I'm determined to do my best!
Good Luck Everyone!

This will be my 8th marathon, 3rd St. George. I am hoping to finish between 3:45-3:55. I will be wearing an orange singlet that says "Locomotion running club" with a light blue running skirt. If you see anyone with an orange locomotion shirt, they will know me. BTW- I trained for and ran Boston while I was nursing. It didn't seem to affect my milk supply much at all. You're amazing! Good luck!

I, too, am running St. George on Saturday. This is my first race of any kind ever. Although, I will not be racing, finishing is the big goal right now. I will finish even if I'm crawling, dang it. So if I can finish in under 4 1/2 hrs...yay for me. I am excited...nervous, with tummy issues, and i t band issues uuugggh. But nevertheless, I will be there. Go girls...you RoCK!!!!!
