St. George Marathon Race Report....

I had so much fun at the St. George marathon this past weekend! I posted an update about it on my blog

I wish I would have ran into some of the other Marathon Mommies but I never did. My sister did meet Stephanie while they were running! She said she was grateful for her talking to her right then...so thanks Stephanie!!! Plus I heard that she was doing awesome...even though she had just had a baby like 10 weeks ago! Amazing!

Hi. I'm not an official "Marathon Mommy" - though I am both a Marathoner and a Mommy... and to be honest this is the first time I've come to this site. I had to though, because I'm the "little sister" that Cal mentions in her post. =)

Just as I was beginning the climb up Veyo a girl turns to me and asks, "Are you Cal? From Marathon Mommies?" I started laughing. "No, I'm not, but I know who you're talking about!" I told her. "I'm her sister." "Really? Are you twins?" I laughed again... yes, we get that a lot. "No, we just look alike. But she's a good 3 inches taller than I am," I told her. "Oh, I've never met her, only seen her picture. You guys look identical!" Oh, how many times have we heard that one, Cal?

So, Stephanie - thank you for distracting me pretty much all the way up Veyo... I really appreciate it! You were just smoking down that course, and I'm sure that you didn't let your hubby get near you to pull you off the course. =) I still can't believe that you ran a marathon (and that fast!) after having a baby only 10 weeks before!!! Oh, and FYI - I did get my Boston Marathon time! =) So I guess maybe I'll run into you there too. =)

Cal did awesome! I was so proud of her for deciding to run the race even after getting a nasty injury - and even happier that she survived the race in one piece, and not really any worse for the wear either! =) It was great to see her run to the finish line with our dad. =) Way to go Big Sister. =)

I am so glad that you had such an awesome experience. I am planning on signing up for the lottery for next year. I do really love that course. Way to go! It was fun to read about your family history of running that is really cool about your dad running you in!

Excellent site you have here but I was wondering if you
knew of any message boards that cover the same topics talked
about here? I'd really like to be a part of online community where I can get feedback from other experienced individuals that share the same interest. If you have any suggestions, please let me know. Kudos!
