Let It Snow!

We just got 20 inches of snow in D.C. Great, right? Mostly. While I love the snow and am glad to see a storm like this one, it really does a number on my running. You have to understand that the roads aren't even plowed yet; our area is not known for its snow-moving abilities. The sidewalks are even worse. So what do you do? Do you run through it? If you don't run (which would be my inclination since I'm running with a stroller), what do you do for exercise? Any other suggestions for when the weather outside is frightful? (All this just when I cancelled my gym membership.)

Well, digging out was one heck of a work out in NJ this morning! Yoga and Pilates are my favorite snowed in activities.

I can't believe you guys are getting so much snow. I can see how it'd be a tad tricky with the stroller! Hopefully it all melts soon. :)

So jealous of the snow!! Pilates is for sure my go to exercise when I can't pound the pavement!

get some yak traks for your shoes and leave the stroller at home. Snow runs are some of the best.

hey gina---about those yak trax. have you used them on runs where it's part snow/ice and part pavement? does the pavement hurt them? the more snow we get, the more appealing they are! but some sidewalks are cleared, where many aren't. i just wouldn't want to hurt them.
