Need a Plan for 2010

Hey ladies,

I am ready to kiss 2009 goodbye! My last race was the Wasatch Back (with many awesome ladies from here!), but the last race where I felt good was March 7th! I am ready for the new year.

So, I need a plan! I need ideas from the rest of you. I am still tentatively planning to run Ogden Marathon with my wonderful sis-in-law Kristyn, and I am also considering St. George in the Fall. What are the rest of you doing? I feel lost without a plan! Help!

I'm with Stephanie, I have no idea what I'm planning for 2010! But I like it that way, last year was chaotic with all of the races, school, kids , etc. This year I'm just going to go with the flow. Although I'm eyeballing the VT city marathon in May..hmmm....

2010 is starting to take shape for me, although not everything is set in stone yet. I entered the Canyonlands 1/2 marathon lottery at the last moment and was lucky enough to get in, so that'll keep me training through the winter. After that, I'm the captain of a Wasatch Back team from my ward for the relay in June. I think I'll do an Idaho marathon next fall, either in Pocatello or Mesa Falls. I've done the Zeitgeist 1/2 in Boise the last three years in November and I'll probably hit that again too. Lots in store... it's going to be a great year!

I'm planning on keeping my self busy this next year. I signed up for the St. George Runner's series (to get a Guaranteed Entry to the St. George Marathon) so I have to do two races for that. The first one I'm doing is the St. George Half in January and possibly a relay in March. I am also signed up for Canyonlands in March (Maybe I'll see you there Tall Girl!) I'm also excited to do the Wasatch Back again this year. I had really wanted to do the Ogden Half marathon but was sad to find out when I went to register for it that it had just sold out! Now I'm thinking I might run the Salt Lake City Half Marathon instead. I'm sure there are other races I will want to do too! They are all fun. Good luck everyone-I hope it's a great new year!

I'm guessing I'll be running the StG 1/2 in January and the Lake to Lake Relay in StG along with Cal. =) Then the Boston Marathon is looming ahead in April. I can't believe I have to start training for that in only a couple of weeks! Crazy!! There's the Wasatch Back in June, and then I'll be running the StG Marathon in October, and I have a guaranteed entry into the NYC Marathon in November, so hoping I have enough money to go, I'll be doing that one as well. =)

I'm sure I'll toss some 1/2s in there as well. I still really want to try the Bryce Canyon 1/2 in July, and I think I'd love to do the Red Rock Relay in September, but I really think I've already got a lot of races on my plate right now as it is. =)

All of your Utah races are making me homesick! I've been dying to run the Ogden Marathon!
Anyway, here are my goals for 2010:
National Marathon in DC (although I will be running the half). Wasatch Back in June during our annual visit.
Then a marathon in the Fall....haven't decided which one yet....maybe Baltimore or Richmond?
Good luck to everyone in the New Year!

Jamie- Now you are making me homesick! I did the Richmond marathon in 2008 and loved it. I liked it better than Baltimore. Now we aren't on the east coast anymore and I don't have a plan yet...
Good luck on your training everybody!

I want to try for the St. George Marathon, too. I just hate that darn lottery!!!

Can't wait for Wasatch Back (that race keeps me flying home every year!).

You should try the Top of Utah half or full. It's a beautiful course.
