compression socks

Compression socks. My running peeps swear by them and think I should get myself a pair, but I'm still on the fence.

Do you use them?
Which brand(s) do you use?
Do you have the sock type or the ones that stop at the ankle?
In bright pink?
When do you wear them? During a long run? Out in public?
What did you pay? Worth the cost?

I sweat a lot and my body heats up quickly. My concern is that I'll become very warm in them while running. And that I would never wear them out in public after a long run. My friends wear them all day long, but I'm such a flip flop kind of girl... Help!

I LOVE them and use them faithfully for recovery.I have not adapted to actually RUN in them yet. My husband is a vascular surgeon and so naturally compression hose are a big topic. CEPs (google them) are just shy of medical grade (and they have cool colors). People swear they reduce their times by minutes, I find they cure my knees of aches and pains...esp after long runs. I'll wear my 2XU full compression pants all day, after 10+ miles, then sleep in my CEPs. Give them a try...I have the hot pink and green, but they have white and black too...they feel great!!

I run in Zensah compression sleeves. I don't need them as much outside as much as I do on the treadmill. They really help keep my shins in check. I have regular knee socks that I wear if I ever need that little support after a run.

I use the Zensah compression sleeves as well (you can still wear flip flops with them). I only wear them for long runs and I love that they keep my legs warm and let me wear skirts when it's chilly. I don't know how much is mental - but I do love them

I have the Zensah sleeves and wore them after the marathon last year and huge difference. I can't wear them or my CEP socks during running though, it just doesn't feel right. More like my tendon will snap.

I just recently got my first pair and let me tell you-they work!! I was in the beginning stages of shin splints and I started wearing my CEP Compression socks. I slept in the every night for a week, cut my weekly mileage that week too (but not to 0 miles), and just let myself try to heal. I went from pain and hardly able to run to picking up my mileage again in a matter of a week. I slept in them, wore them around the house and did some shorter runs in them. I'm not a fan in running in them actually though. They are warm, I got too hot on a 64 degree day.

I actually have a code for 15% off of CEP socks, you can come check it out on my 5 Miles Past Empty blob...I did a review too just a week(ish) ago so you can check out the specks on them. Not all compression socks are equal. I honestly think CEP is the best, they are created by medical minded people who know what they are doing.

And YES!! Hot pink! =)

fyi: I ordered the CEP Progressive Compression Socks this afternoon from HighTideHealth.com. They are offering 10% off and free shipping so the socks were less than $44. Can't wait to try them out!

I enjoyed running in them, as long as I didn't get too warm, which made them itch. I tried to corroborate a few scientific studies that suggest compression socks can aid running performance.

Hi there! I just wanted to ask if you ever have any issues with
hackers? My last blog (wordpress) was hacked and I ended up losing months of hard work due to no data backup.
Do you have any methods to protect against hackers?

Hey there administrator, I just wanted to give you a quick heads up that your current Web link:

it. You could possibly lose a lot of guests due to this
issue. Best of Luck.
