I hadn't thought about the miles being a lot for 4 days of running, but I guess it kind of is. I'm loving the 10 mile W thing I'm doing and although I go into the long Saturday runs a little tired, I've been running them well.
This weekend's run included a 20 miler. It was THE BEST 20 mile run I've ever had. It was a hilly route but the pace was consistent and comfortable, almost easy. The last two miles were all up hill and definitely tough, but slow and steady got me home. Overall, my pace was the fastest I've run that distance (8:44 average) and I felt awesome. I wish all runs could feel that good! I think the longer mid-week runs are helping the long weekend runs.
23.78, wow, that is my shortest week in a long time. Oh well- I got some runs in, and that's what counts- even when life is crazy hectic! You are kicking by Cherl! And your pace is pretty amazing!
Thanks, Lacey Sue. In the past things would start to hurt after 35 mile weeks but things are looking okay so far so I'm going to continue doing what I'm doing. :)
I haven't been running Mondays but since my husband has the day off, I got out with my running posse for 7.2 miles. Great way to start the new week!
26 miles again. Staying consistent, just trying to get my mileage up. My goal for this week is 30+. We will see how my body holds up.
You are rocking it, Cherl!! I can't wait to hear how your marathon goes. 20 miles at 8:44 is amazing!! I am so happy for you. You have earned your results.
Lacey- Staying over 20 miles takes more work than you give yourself credit for! Keep up the good work! I hope this week is less hectic for you!
