Sick of SICK!

So now I am feeling completely over my cold. I got one day of running in before two of the kids came down with a stomach flu. WILL IT EVER END? Running early is the only answer, but my body just doesn't want to do it more than twice a week at this point. I have to say, though, that given my history of despising the early morning hours I am very proud I am actually making it to the early runs on Wednesday and Saturday. Hooray for me! I am surprised how much I enjoy it and actually look forward to it! So, unless someone else in the family decides to get sick tonight...or tomorrow... I plan on taking a leisurly two hours all to myself at the Y. I'll get the heart rate monitor and see if I can make myself stay in the zone for an entire hour! A new adventure in running! Yippie! I love running. Life is good.

P.S. Life is especially good because I got a vacuum cleaner today and I feel like my carpets are actually clean for the first time in a few months. (It broke a couple months ago and I've been borrowing a neighbor's every couple weeks... yucky!) Maybe this will contribute to my family's plan for good health!

Here are my future marathoners! :)

Hey Suzie! Being sick is the worst because you just feel useless. I am so glad you are feeling better. Your pics from the turkey trot are great. Thanks for a good run on Saturday. It was fun to not have a plan in mind. And, we ended up going 8.44 miles at 9:07 pace- with the hills I don't think that is too bad! I hope your song went well.
