4 Weeks and Counting!

Time is ticking away ladies.... who is running St. George?  I need to hear from you.  What do you have left on your training calenders?  The heat down hear has been crippling my ability to finish my long runs.  I have done 2 back to back halves the last few weeks... and I am going to do a 20 miler this week, what are you doing this week?  I am so off my original schedule that at this point i am happy to try anything :)

Sadly, I am not going to be doing St. George after all. Anyone need a hotel room? It just wasn't working out logistically for our family, even though I've been training. I'll miss seeing you there!

I am running St. George! I have my third (and final) 20 miler this weekend and then it's the taper!! I've been having to get up at 4:00 am to get my 20's in so I can make it back in time for kids soccer games. I'm glad this is my last one!

Good luck with your 20! Maybe I'll see you among the masses at St. George...

Suzie Petunia, I'm sorry you won't be making it for the marathon. Maybe next year!

I'm in for the marathon! I have been doing really well following my training schedule.... until the last two Sat. long runs. We were in Yellowstone and planning on still running but circumstances made it impossible, and then I got sooo sick this last weekend so I didn't get out then. Yikes! I hope I am not in trouble. Anyway, I have my first 20 miler this weekend. I was only planning on doing one so I hope that is enough.

I wish I could have taken your hotel room Suzie! Just a few days ago I booked a room at Comfort Inn- I was getting really nervous I wouldn't find a room. You could try posting it on the chat board through the St. George marathon website. So sorry you won't be able to make it!

I'm on board. It will be my third marathon this year and I'm looking forward to taking a big long break from the super-long weekend runs after this is over!

This is my first marathon. I did a couple of half's this year. I did my 20 miler last weekend. All I can say is that I made it. I was not even dead the next day. I am super slow on my long runs. My goal for the St. George is to finish. Good luck everyone. I know I will need it.
