I am also running in the Canyonlands 1/2. I have really wanted to run it-so I ran in the Winter Sun 10k just to get a GE into Canyonlands. I only live 2 hours from Moab-but I made reservations awhile ago at a Best Western in Moab. I have heard that everything books up really fast (and I noticed that I was paying about double for the room). If you can't find anything in Moab-you could look to places like Green River that aren't too far...There are also alot of camping sites...if you really wanted to do that :)
Get a hotel now :) It is crowded! We stay at a family condo every year so I don't really know where else to stay. I have not Moab for about 5 years. I am a little jealous because it is a great race- so pretty - I am pregnant and not currently running much-but Moab is so so beautiful and that 1/2 is really nice. Be prepared for cold or warm weather- it has been both- you never know ;) Good luck!

Last I checked Super 8 was the only place that had rooms.
I'm excited that other Marathon Mommies will be there!
