Newport Marathon Race Report

I ran the Newport Marathon over the weekend with my sister Marnie, and I just wrote about it on my family blog.

Click here if you want to read it.

It was a beautiful day, and a beautiful course, but a dissapointing race for me. I wish it were a more positive report, but hopefully I can learn from it. I had a great time with my sis, though, and also some of the marathon mommies- Kelly and Sarah. Overall, a fun weekend.

Great race report. Your seventh marathon? Wow! You'll get your desired downhill in St. George. Good luck with it! And don't be hard on yourself about Newport. Not every marathon will be a new PR; after running so many, one might forget what an accomplishment it is just to finish!

Good job on finishing! Sounds like it was a tough day out there for most people. Glad you got to run with your sister, though. Thanks for the race report.

Kirsten, you know you are my hero! With all the pain you run in, I am so impressed with your perseverance and you are so dang fast!!! I will miss running with you this next year. But we have plenty of years ahead of us, right? Can't wait to learn more about triathlons from you too. Love you!! You did awesome at Newport!! Way to PR!
