Okay it is time for some new tunes again. I have some really long runs coming up and the Ragnar Del Sol relay. I need some good stuff to get me through.
This isn't a new tune but I like it. Todd Rungren's Bang on the Drum All Day. What I really like is that he starts by yelling "Are you ready?" It always makes me yell back "YES!" and pick up my pace a bit. And the beat is good for running. This always rejuvenates me!
Chariots of Fire I've Gotta Feeling - Black Eyed Peas Send Me On My Way - Rusted Root Heavy Cloud No Rain - Sting Top of the World - Lynn Anderson Single Ladies (Put a Ring on it) - Beyonce' One Week - Barenaked Ladies 500 Miles - The Proclaimers Viva la Vida - Coldplay Footloose - Kenny Loggins And She Was - Talking Heads City of Love - Persephone's Bees Vertigo - U2 Beautiful Day - U2
Here are some that helped me during my recent marathon: *Let's get it started-Black Eyed Peas *I gotta feeling- Black Eyed Peas *Gives You Hell- All-American Rejects *Don't Stop Believin'- Cast of Glee (I also have Journey's version, but Glee's is a bit more uptempo) *Somebody to Love- Cast of Glee *Bad Romance- Lady Gaga *Poker Face- Lady Gaga *Hot and Cold- Katy Perry *Girlfriend- Avril Levigne *The Bomb-- Bitter Sweet
I just ran my first half marathon, and my brother made me a mix of great songs. Some that really helped...Dangerous-Akon, a bunch of Justin Timberlake,Die Trying-Cee-Lo, Disco Inferno-50 Cent,Halo-Beyonce,SweetDreams Beyonc,Where is the Love and Meet Me Halfway-Black Eyed Peas,Stronger-Kanye West, Closer-NeYo, World Hold On-Bob Sinclair among others. I had no idea how important my music would be for me to get through and feel good. I just started listening to hip hop when I started training and the 2 go hand in hand for me now. Good luck.
