Monday Miles: 1/30 - 2/5

I love the first of every month.  It's a new opportunity to do something better, more or different than the previous month.  Anything you'll be changing up this month?  How was your running last month?  Last week?

Last week's miles: 33.65

This month I'm increasing my Wednesday morning runs to something closer to 10 miles. I'd love to do a solid 10 mid-week every W but it'll be dependent on time. Last week I was able to get in a 9.25 mile run and that felt pretty awesome!

Today I'm starting a new series of classes at my favorite yoga studio. I've only taken the hot yoga class they offer and I love them. Today I'm taking a YOGA BARRE class. It has my name written all over it. Yoga + Barre = dream class (or so I hope!).

My gym membership ended 1/31. It's strange to suddenly not have access to a gym. No spin classes, no running on a treadmill in a comfortable environment... If I miss it terribly, I may join another, less expensive gym in a few months.

Woo hoo!! I was cleared to run on Tuesday and I ran 400 repeats on Wed, a 5 miler on Thursday and I swam on Friday. I decided to go for 8 miles on Saturday and I was nervous, but was able to do it! I just ran really slow.

Today's 2.5 miler did not feel so good. I need to be patient.

Cherl- Good job on your miles! I love mid-week long runs too. Yoga sounds awesome. You are such an inspiration.
