Running Skirt Raffle to Benefit Baby Rhodesbud

Hi, Moms! Suzie Petunia here. Many of you know that I am helping my sister raise money for In Vitro Fertilization (IVF). You can read all about her story here. This is a cause I feel extremely passionate about. I know many of you have experienced the heartache of infertility - either yourself or through a close friend or family member. There is nothing I want more than for my sister to have the joy and blessings of being a mom! She and her husband are good candidates for IVF, but their first attempt did not result in a pregnancy. The procedure is very expensive, and it could be years before she and her husband are able to save that much money again. So our family has banded together to raise the money for them. If you check out her blog, you will see several ways you can help (check out the sidebar). Here is one more way, and this one comes with the added bonus of potentially winning a new running skirt!

Run-for-the-Bling Contest

January 7 - January 31, 2008

1. Go for a run. (It doesn't matter how far... ok, at least 1 mile, ok? Chasing a naughty, screaming child down an isle at Target doesn't count.)
   
2. Come here (to this post) and comment each day you run. There is a link on the sidebar to bring you directly to this post each day. It will be helpful if everyone kept track of their own totals since we're doing this on the honor system anyway! example: Suzie Petunia, total runs to date: 1.
3. Repeat until January 31!
4. Whoever runs the most days by January 31 wins the BLING!

M&M and I are out of town for her dad's funeral. It was a beautiful service for a beautiful man - inside and out. I'm so glad she let me come and get to know her family better. She is an amazing person and friend. I'm sure she is very grateful for all of your thoughts and prayers.
